CONDITIONS FOR SUBMISSION
We, the authors, confirm that we have read and complied with the relevant instructions to authors as well as the ethics in publishing policy and declarations of interest disclosure, and affirm the following conditions:
- The Article we have submitted to the journal for review is original, has been written by the listed Authors, and has not been previously published.
- The Article was not and will not be submitted to another journal while under review here, in accordance with our compliance.
- The Article and the Supplemental Materials do not infringe any copyright, violate any other intellectual property, privacy or other rights of any person or entity, or contain any libelous or other unlawful matter.
- We have obtained written permission for any excerpts from copyrighted works included. The sources are credited in the Article or Supplemental Materials. We will forward permissions to the Diabetes Asia Journal under JHRC Publisher for use and reprint in all versions, forms, and media now or later known, including all copyright renewals and extensions worldwide. If permissions are not obtained in time, we will provide substitute material, revise the work, and obtain substitute permissions if necessary.
- This work (i) is not subject to any prior claim, encumbrance, or agreement. (ii) It will include appropriate warnings of harmful instructions, formulas, and procedures. (iii) It will not contain any material that violates any copyright, personal proprietary, or other rights.
- If relevant, we will obtain medical patient releases from patients if their information or illustrations are used in the work/contribution.
LICENSE TO PUBLISH
We, the Authors, acknowledge and agree that the Article will be published by the Diabetes Asia Journal (DAJ) and made freely available to users under the terms of Creative Commons Attribution- 4.0 International Public License, as currently displayed at http://creativecommons.org/licenses/4.0/ (the “CC By 4.0”). The Authors acknowledge and agree that Publisher is the “Licensor”, as defined by CC By 4.0. The Authors understand and acknowledge that, under Creative Commons, they retain ownership of the copyright for their content. No term or condition of this License may be waived except by an agreement by the Publisher in writing.
We, the Authors, hereby grant to Diabetes Asia Journal (DAJ) the right of first publication of the Article and identify it as the original Publisher. The Authors grant the Journal, an exclusive right to publish and reproduce the Article, or any part of the Article, in print, electronic and all other media (whether now known or later developed), in any form, in all languages, throughout the world, for the full term of copyright, and the right to license others to do the same, effective when the Article is accepted for publication. This includes the right to enforce the rights granted hereunder against third parties.
EXCLUSIVE LICENSE FOR COMMERCIAL RIGHTS
We, the Authors, give DAJ exclusive commercial reuse rights under the CC BY 4.0 license. This means DAJ can use the Article worldwide and royalty-free for commercial or educational purposes, including publishing, reproducing, marketing, distributing, sublicensing, and selling copies for the full copyright term, starting when the Article is accepted. DAJ will manage all commercial licensing requests. Any disputes will be settled in the Kanpur court.
SCHOLARLY COMMUNICATION RIGHTS
We, the Authors, understand that we retain the copyright of the contents of the Article and that no rights in patents, trademarks or other intellectual property rights are transferred to the Journal Owner/ Publisher. As the Authors of the Article, we understand and acknowledge that we shall have the same rights to reuse the Article as third-party users under the CC By 4.0 license.

We, the Authors, agree to the Open Access License Agreement above and consent to signing and submitting it electronically. We allow the corresponding author to sign for all listed authors. Once this Agreement is signed, we understand that changes to authorship or the order of authors will not be accepted.
